Another brilliant performance for the farm Vošten. Its founder, Mario Vošten, started this activity in the 80's and today still runs a 3-hectare olive grove with 1,000 trees. In the last harvest 100 quintals of olives were produced and 30 purchased, equal to a yield of 20 hectolitres of extra virgin olive oil. We recommend the really good farm selection, the Extra Virgin San Biagio, which is an intense limpid golden yellow colour with light green hues. Its aroma is ample and definite, with rich fruity hints of unripe tomato, banana and white apple, together with distinct vegetal notes of fresh broad beans, lettuce and chicory. Its taste is complex and strong, with a distinct vegetal flavour of field balm, basil, parsley and a note of black pepper. Bitterness and pungency are distinct and harmonic, with an almond finish. It would be ideal on octopus appetizers, barbecued porcini mushrooms, swordfish salads, tomatoes au gratin, lentil purée, pasta with artichokes, baked lamb, red meat tartare, aged cheese.
