"Medulin is a tourist resort situated in the extreme south of Istria, not far from Pula. Here in 2002 Veljko Ostojić founded Ostojić-Perić, a small and interesting oil farm. There are 3 hectares of specialized olive grove with 520 trees of typical varieties. 50 quintals of olives were produced in the last harvest, with a yield of almost 6 hectolitres of oil. There are two Extra Virgin selections Monocultivar V', both excellent: Rošulja and especially Buža, which is a a beautiful intense limpid golden yellow colour with warm green hues. Its aroma is powerful and complex, with elegant notes of officinal herbs - basil and field balm - enriched by vegetal hints of broad beans, lettuce and celery. Its taste is rotund and fine, with a fruity flavour of medium ripe tomato, banana, apple and spicy notes of black pepper. Bitterness and pungency are present and balanced. It would be ideal on freshwater fish carpaccio, marinated perch, barbecued potatoes, baked vegetables, emmer soups, first courses with tomato sauce, barbecued cuttlefish, salmon tartare, griddled poultry or white meat, pasta filata fresh cheese."
